Economic policy of Stalin was based on the Five year plan for the USSR'S economy to catch that of the west.
Mao's economic policy was based on the "Great leap forward" trying to follow Stalin's footsteps to bring China's economy to the level of that of the west
Castro was more education based as he worked to increase his country's literacy rates to increase the human capital in his country. Up until 2010 it was working.

Stalin: his religious views were that he wanted no religious power within the soviet union and he did attack major muslim, christian, and jewish leadeers throughout his reign
Mao: had the same religious views as well, however he's viewed as a father/holy leader by his people by using his Cult Of Personality.
Castro: he had a little catholic preachings and wanted to keep christianity strong withing cuba
