Germany was controlled by the allied powers and the Soviet Union, Berlin the Capitol of Germany was also cut between the Soviets and the Allied power, the Soviets controlled the Eastern part and the Allied powers controlled the Western side. Both sides wanted their side to be alive so that the other half would go to them, So the Soviets had that master plan that would shut down the Allied powers in Western Berlin, the soviets removed the road between the allies and western berlin, and after that in a couple of days the east would not have food, water, money, or anything while the west had parties and food and water, the east was very angry. The U.S started taking coal, food, water to east berlin, the people were happy again. The U.S made this master plan that they would make a new currency and make other stuff to annoy the Soviets, the Soviets just built a wall dividing Berlin, Families were separated, friends too. The allied powers saw this as an outrage, but they could not do anything!!
